Political Opinion
Dear Moslem Association:
As a professor of Mechanical Engineering here at MSU I intend to protest your protest. I am offended not by cartoons, but by more mundane things like beheadings of civilians, cowardly attacks on public buildings, suicide murders, murders of Catholic priests (the latest in Turkey!), burnings of Christian churches, the continued persecution
of Coptic Christians in Egypt, the imposition of Sharia law on non-Muslims, the rapes of Scandinavian girls and women (called "whores" in your culture), the murder of film directors in Holland, and the rioting and looting in Paris France.
This is what offends me, a soft-spoken person and academic, and many, many, many of my colleagues. I counsel you dissatisfied, aggressive, brutal, and uncivilized slave-trading Moslems to be very aware of this as you proceeded with your infantile "protests." If you do not like the values of the West — see the 1st Amendment — you are free
to leave.
I hope for God's sake that most of you choose that option.
Please return to your ancestral homelands and build them up yourselves instead of troubling Americans.
Cordially,
I. S. Wichman, Professor of Mechanical Engineering
I support Professor Wichman's point of view and would like to add wearing a green Hamas headband, burning a Israeli flag, swinging a Kalashnikov, and chanting for Israel's demise, the children look to be a prototypical Palestinian militants.
Yet his olive green shirt is a spot-on replica of those worn by soldiers in the U.S. Army, replete with combat patches and unit designations, in what has become the latest trend in Palestinian street wear: U.S. military apparel.
Militancy has become a dominant theme in Palestinian culture, and the masked, fatigue-clad militants who roam Gaza's streets are lionized by Palestinian youth.
Across Gaza, retailers say demand for military wear, U.S. Army and otherwise, is booming.
Even women's and baby clothing stores stock generous racks of camouflage wear. "People love their little kids to be dressed in military clothes," says clothing retailer Omar Bilbaysi. "They want to teach the children and prepare them so they will be ready for the battle that lies ahead when they grow up."
Unfortunately, we must deal with the enemies at home before we can effectively deal with the enemies abroad. Because I believe in the right to free speech does not mean I feel it is always proper to avail myself of that right without giving thought to the consequences of my actions.

The Qu'ran says:[4.34] Men are the maintainers of women because Allah has made some of them to excel others and because they spend out of their property; the good women are therefore obedient, guarding the unseen as Allah has guarded; and (as to) those on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in the sleeping-places and beat them; then if they obey you, do not seek a way against them; surely Allah is High, Great.
